Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, Srirangam-1.

The Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Ranganatha, a reclining form of Hindu deity, Vishnu. Temple is locatedin Srirangam, Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu, India

The temple occupies an area of 156 acres (631,000 m²) with a perimeter of 4,116m (10,710 feet) making it the largest temple in India

There are 21 gopurams (tower gateways), among which the towering 236-feet Rajagopuram (shrine of the main gateway) is the second tallest temple tower in Asia. The 73m high 13- tiered rajagopuram was built in 1987 by Ahobila Mutt and dominates the landscape for miles around, while the remaining 20 gopurams were built between the 14th and 17th centuries

Srikalahasthi

Srikalahasti Temple is situated in Andhrapradesh and is popular for Vayu linga, one of the Panchabhoota Sthalams, representing wind. Constructed in the 12th century by the Chola king, Rajendra Chola, Vayu is incarnated as Lord Shiva and worshipped as Kalahasteeswara. This temple is is well know for Rahu kethu pujas.

Khajuraho Group of Monuments

The Khajuraho Group of Monuments has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is considered to be one of the "seven wonders" of India. The temples at Khajuraho were built during the Chandella dynasty, which reached its apogee between 950 and 1050. Only about 20 temples remain; they fall into three distinct groups and belong to two different religions – Hinduism and Jainism. They strike a perfect balance between architecture and sculpture. The Temple of Kandariya is decorated with a profusion of sculptures that are among the greatest masterpieces of Indian art.

Red stone sculpture found in Khajuraho temples and it belongs to 11 century. This staue is now situated in national museum of Scotland, Edinburgh.
